I Want to be...Kishani Perera

It's as simple as that...Perera's style sums up everything I believe in to a "T". Bright color, fun prints, graphic details, fabulous lighting fixtures, eclectic/vintage furniture and accents--all of which comes together way too effortlessly. A flawless and harmonious balance between glam and casual, not one tiny revision is needed! Kishani Perera knows how to design one fabulous space, I applaud her portfolio.

Test Shots

I just recieved a new camera for my 21st birthday and thought the best place to test it out would be in AN INTERIOR! I really started loving photographing details in spaces (lighting, displays, vignettes, etc) and I am hoping to take a class in the fall to learn more now that I have a camera that has manual settings. But here just a few test shots that I clicked around my room for, I know there nothing extroindary but they are kind of a fun way to show you a bit more of my style :) Happy Weekend!!

DIY Summer Attempt #1

I saw this necklace at Anthropologie last May and absolutely fell in love but could not afford the $200 price tag. So today I am going to attempt to recreate this darling nautical piece with $10 worth of pearl beads, navy striped grosgrain ribbon and string from JoAnnes!! I'll letcha know how it goes, I think the last time I beaded necklaces I was in 2nd grade haha.

High Summer

In honor of the first, official day of summer, I thought I'd share with you some fabulous pieces from the the "High Summer" collection over at Day Birger, a clothing and home line based in Denmark. I love their fresh, fun prints with a strong focus on details. What really caught my attention at Day Day Birger et Mikkelsen is there wonderful styling, I loved how they zoomed in on the fabulous details within their clothing pieces as well as the home decor. For all us pillow lovers, they have quite the selection, from bold and graphic to bright and funky! Hope you enjoy the Danish site as much as I did :)

I adore this beaded chain necklace--I think it would be a perfect, summer-boho essential!

How cute are these pillows? Maybe even cuter when lounger in this darling romper (in the perfect shade of pink) while rocking a pair of fabulous wedges and a stack of layered bracelets? Just a thought...

The Concept store in Copenhagen looks like it would be the perfect backdrop for displaying all of DB products...

I don't hate any of these "au-naturale" home accessories...

Almost Legal!!

I am currently attempting to bake 4 dozen cupcakes for my big birthday bash tomorrow. I am not a natural in the kitchen, so I have to admit I am a little out of my comfort zone! I had a little down time in between baking "funfetti" fairycakes so I thought I'd share with you my "backyard garden party" inspiration board. A dash of twinkle, a pinch of sprinkles and lots and lots of florals! If all goes to plan, tomorrow should be one of the only sunny days this week, just in the nick of time for the big 2-1! Hope everyone has some fun plans this weekend, I for one can't wait to hit the bars :) Whoohoo!! Lots of Love, XX.

My Absolute Essentials

It just so happens that Jamie (the photographer behind From Me to You) and I seem to share almost identical interests. Everything from favorite foods, good design and timeless fashion, she has an eye for the best things in life! Her fabulous photography blog captures all life's wonderful, little yet essential details. Jamie's attention to detail makes me love everything about this world, even the little tasks in life that we sometimes easily overlook. Enjoy my friends :)

Dress to Impress

First impressions are important, especially in a home. I think that is why I have a special spot in my heart for entry ways because it really gives you a sneak-peak to the style of the homeowner. Here are some of my favorites, ranging from ultra-glam to simple and natural. Hope everyone is enjoying a fresh new week :) Lots of Love, XX.
